Romain Lettuce Alert 11/22/2019

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (“CDC”), in conjunction with an investigation with the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, has issued a Food Safety Alert advising consumers not to eat any romaine lettuce, and advising retailers and restaurants not to serve or sell romaine product from Salinas, CA. All romaine products that we have for sale are from UNAFFECTED regions.

To protect our customers and consumers, and out of an abundance of caution, Capital Seaboard is immediately suspending the shipment of all products containing romaine lettuce and romaine blends from the Salinas, CA region. If you have romaine lettuce or products containing romaine lettuce from the Salinas, CA region, those products should be discarded or destroyed.
