Coronavirus Update

WE ARE NOW DELIVERING ON THURSDAYS!

OUR CURRENT DELIVERY DAYS ARE MONDAYS, WEDNESDAYS, THURSDAYS, FRIDAYS AND SATURDAYS!
Receive Produce, Seafood and Dairy in one delivery.

As the COVID-19 situation continues to unfold and change daily, we at Capital Seaboard have adjusted our operations in response to the changing environment. Listed below are the changes we have made to our operations to protect our employees and customers, and comply with the dictates of Maryland law and policy to limit individual contact and maintain social distancing as much as possible.  We will update this notice with any other changes that are necessitated by this rapidly evolving situation.

Operational Notes:
* Delivery days to most areas are now Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday.
* We are unable to fulfill requests for same day delivery.
* The ordering cut-off for deliveries has been adjusted to 8 PM for all customers.
* We can no longer accept returns after the delivery has been made. All product should be inspected upon receiving.

About our Food Safety Program:
For nearly two years Capital Seaboard has been SQF Certified. SQF stands for Safe Quality Food. This certification and the associated food safety and cleanliness standards in place that we maintain daily are especially important right now. We not only meet the federally mandated safety guidelines, we also subject ourselves to rigorous third party audits that go far beyond those government standards and guidelines. Those stricter standards give us and you the peace of mind that Capital Seaboard has, and always will be a leader in food safety. You, as our partner, should feel good about it as well because we have been taking the steps to ensure your safety all along.

Capital Seaboard is committed to the health and safety of our customers and employees.  With the uncertainty surrounding the coronavirus (COVID-19), we remind our customers of the steps we have taken to ensure that we will continue to deliver safe product.  According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, currently there is no evidence to support transmission of COVID-19 associated with food.  See https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/faq.html#spreads

Nevertheless, our warehouse facility and food handling processes are certified under the Global Food Safety Initiative’s (“GFSI”) Safe Quality Food (“SQF”) program for both produce and seafood.  SQF is a rigorous, audited food safety and quality program that goes above and beyond governmental/regulatory standards or basic HACCP.  We have strengthened our strict food safety and sanitation protocols and are monitoring the coronavirus situation to keep our customers supplied with fresh and safe produce and seafood.
